Best Practice Guidelines
These Best Practice Guidelines offer advice on a set of socially responsible actions that go over and above the minimum standards required under the Code. The guidelines are based on best practice initiatives which the Portman Group's member companies have pioneered and implemented under their Commitment to Action Agreement.

These guidelines do not form part of the Code's requirements and failure to comply with the advice in this section is therefore not a breach of the Code. Companies are nonetheless encouraged wherever possible to adopt this best practice and thus demonstrate their commitment to meeting their broader social responsibilities through their brand marketing to encourage consumers to drink responsibly.
